Meet the State Team
Sakhi Kulkarni
STATE DIRECTOR
I joined Generation Ratify because I wanted firsthand experience working with politics and legislation to create concrete change in issues I care about. I loved that the organization is youth-led, and that I would be able to provide my peers with the specific resources they need to be better advocates, educators, and leaders to take on the challenges they face when working with policy
My primary issue is reproductive health access. I want to make sure that women everywhere are given resources and education about contraceptives, maternal health, and period products regardless of their income or status in society.
I hope to hone my legal literacy skills so I can be better equipped to fight for legislation and policy that will help advance gender equality and all its intersections.

CONTENT DIRECTOR
I joined Generation Ratify because I’m really passionate about equal rights and politics. I love the combination of advocating, electing and empowering that GR promotes and am excited that I can be a part of an organization that fights for something as important as equal rights.
My biggest issue would be passing the Equal Rights Amendment. I believe that all people should be treated equally regardless of how they identify and that ratifying this amendment would be a huge step into a progressive and better future for all people.
I hope to learn how to empower people, especially youth, and inspire them to advocate for the ERA and other critical change.

OUTREACH DIRECTOR
I joined Generation Ratify because I want to help make our state and country more just and provide equal opportunities for future generations. I love the values and policies that Generation Ratify stands for, and I’m excited to work with so many wonderful high school students.
My primary issue is women’s rights. I’m passionate about reproductive health and access to menstrual products for all people who need them.
I hope to learn more about the way our government works as well as learn different ways to connect and work as a team.

POLICY DIRECTOR
I joined Generation Ratify because i wanted to get more active in politics in my community, and when my friend brought up the idea I was so excited to get going! I wanted to be able to help bring equality in any way I could. I wanted a way to be more active so that I could try to learn more because I would like to pursue a career in government
My primary issue I like to focus on is Gender Equality promoting the ERA. I want to work to see change in the way women are treated in today’s world.
I hope to learn more on lobbying and hopefully more about being active at the state and national level in our government.

I joined GRMA because I wanted to get more involved in politics and government, and to be able to work with and learn from lots of amazing people! I also wanted to help promote equality in any way I could.
My primary issue is gender equality, as well as LGBTQ rights and protection. I think it’s very important to work together with other communities in order to improve the lives of everyone.
I hope to learn more about government, lobbying, and how young people can create change in the world.

I joined GRMA because I wanted to take action on the fight for gender equality and work with other motivated youth from across the country and state. My primary issue is equal pay and closing the pay gap between men and women. While working with GRMA, I want to learn more about the history of feminism and how we as youth can impact how legislation is passed and the world changes when we grow older and have more influence in the government, but also what we can do without a voting voice.
